The Puzzled Man

January 19, 2010

lovingignoranceweb.jpg

And he wonders why people never understand him.

"From Day One, I never wanted to be in the system. I'm always doing things different from other people. That's why people don't understand me."

Uh huh.

Crawl out of a hole only to fall into another.

System within a System.

Like a Russian Doll.

Sigh.
When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.

The Procrastinator Hack

January 18, 2010

Today, I want to share with you a Secret. It is a Secret that the Grand Masters have used through the ages. Men (and Women) of Worth applied this to their daily lives and accomplished great things. It was a Secret that could change your Life.

Forever.

Even the Great Pharaohs used it, and guarded it jealously. How else did you think the Egyptians managed to build the Pyramids?

Behold, The Procrastinator Hack! [cue dramatic orchestral music]

The Procrastinator Hack

Wtf?!

Ah-ha! 'Course I didn't expect you to understand what that meant, Young One.

You aren't Enlightened. Yet.

We've all been Procrastinators at some point in our lives. For some, it's a lifestyle; for others a hobby, at best. Which is why a Hack is needed to break this programming.

The Procrastinator Hack = (10+2)*5

How to use it? Simple.

1.) Grab a timer and set it for 10 minutes.

2.) Start the timer. Once the countdown starts ticking, for that entire 10 minutes, do whatever task you have to do uninterrupted - come hell or high water. That means, no phonecalls, no sms, no twitter/facebook/email, no going to the toilet, no snacking. Just pure, undivided attention.

3.) At the end of 10 minutes and the alarm sounds, drop the task like a hot potato.

4.) Do whatever you want for 2 minutes. Eat a turkey, scratch your backside, go for a marathon, whatever.

5.) At the end of 2 minutes, drop whatever you're doing and get back to work for another 10 minutes. (Yes, that also means cutting short your marathon or having cold turkey.)

6.) Rinse and repeat total of 5 times.

At the end of the 60 minutes, you would have done 50 minutes of pure work, with 10 minutes of turkey/backside-scratching/marathon.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the fabled Procrastinator Hack.

Pure genius or what, right?

Get crackin' y'all!

[Ed note: Procrastinator Hack is useless if you don't get started. Results may vary.]

Things don't seem to be going so well in Friend-Land, so here's a shoutout to all my dear friends who have been feeling down to just "Hang on in there!".

Say

January 10, 2010

All I had to do was to open my mouth and Say it.

No tsunami, no nothing.

I am still learning everyday. But I think the most important thing is to keep working at it.

Thank You for the opportunity.
