Stubbornness

September 22, 2009

Stubbornness can be a good trait if it's manifested as perseverance through hardship.

But when it becomes stubbornness just because you're too inflexible and set in your thinking, then it's time to do something about it.

Persevere? Move on? Change approach? What?

Let me ruminate.

13 Deconstructions to “Stubbornness”

    Ruminate is good..
Listen with the heart .. and ask for wisdom..
The still small voice will show you, only when you ask.
    Shalom :)

True to a certain extent but what truly constitutes hardship is something beyond our generation.

Hardship's life in a war-torn country, drought-hit areas, disease infested slums.

Perserverance would seem the right choice, but it's far safer to have actually weighed your choices, then to move forward, instead of living in the moment.

Most of the time, perseverance will pay off ...be it in a company setting, or in the entertainment.
However, in life, some things are destined. What is meant to be, will be.
Some times, it is good to ask the old sage or the expert FS Master for guidance, thou it is good to listen to the 'small voice' within us.
Certainly, it is not wise, to push ourselves against 'the wall'.

I don't know why, but i choose move on:)

hmmm. i think it all boils down to how much you believe in your decision and how firm you are in your point of view. because as long as you are sure of yourself, even if its a wrong decision just accept it and move on.

no point thinking about it because if its stubbornness most likely you wouldnt notice it. because its going to take more then yourself to notice and change it! =)

if you are deciding what to do! do remember different actions at different period of time affects the outcome greatly!

    dale. =D

Good choice, take a step back and decide what is most important to you. Jiayou!

I feel that at such a point of time, it is best to sit down and reflect on the matter. Sometimes, it is better to perserve, sometimes to move on (depending on the situation).
It seems like I am not really giving any constructive comments. but it is always worth a thought over it.

I am a stubborn person by nature. Perservance always seem to be the word for me but in recent years, i have learnt to move on as long as i feel i NEED TO move on!

    All the best, Nat!

The other day I saw you on a Channel 8 drama where they had a re-run. Can't remember the name of the show, but you were acting in a scene where you were filling buckets of water for Singapore's water saving campaign.

Then you saved someone from "killing himself" too. It was hilarious somewhat. Your persona on your blog is so different from the clown on TV.

In relation to your post about stubborness......why think at all. Take a CHILLAX.

be streetsmart - my advice to u.

perhaps u can change blog skin, can do without the celeb club. focus on what the viewers support and like. sometimes sticking to friendship blindly hurts. stand up for truth. any linkage to falsehood should not be there. i like rebecca lim's blogskin. it's great style.

    all the best!

sorry if this is of no relevant to your 'temptation' entry. but i just wna say, "I SAW YOU IN THE TOILET IN FAREAST TODAY!" hah. you look exactly the same as how you look in the telev just stretched out and wearing funkier clothes.
  12. Nobita, on September 29th, 2009 at 11:19 am, deconstructed:
Being stubborn or resisting the need to change and move forward? When I have the urge to stay in my comfort zone and not change, I remind myself of what i'll preach to my parents about their "resistance" to new things. Reminiscing about an old song might not always be a good thing.
