Dead

June 26, 2009

I think it's strange that when someone dies, suddenly everyone becomes appreciative. Isn't it a bit too late?

And what about the sh*t that they talk about the person? Suddenly everyone backpedals. Is it to lessen the guilt on their conscience?

Appreciate the people who should be appreciated when they are alive.

And don't talk sh*t about others, because if they die, they might come back to find you.

Doesn't matter if you're backpedaling - because the dead only have memories of when they were alive.

If i not wrong, U are referring to MJ?

I think this is common. People always only appreciate when someone is gone. Cos no point talking bad over the dead, so they have to talk about the good. Whether are they sincere, nobody knows...
  2. Olivia, on June 26th, 2009 at 11:08 am, deconstructed:
    Yes, quite true.
We should really appreciate the people around us when they're still alive:)

Live life to the fullest, you will never know what will happen tomorrow...

    Takecare!

Mhm just like the case of Micheal Jackson, sadly but true that people tends to appreciate the person when they dies.

    Agree.
We should appreciate those who are deserving
We should not talk sh*t about others.
Sometimes, some others may do so which I dun understand why too.
Whatever, the legend lives on ...

    Dear Nat,

I totally agree with your viewpoint. There are many self-righteous people and hypocrites around us who are very quick at crticising others but think a world of themselves. C'mon, we are all mortals, no one is infallible. The important thing is to give others a chance to repent and not be so judgemental. I always believe in the word - 'karma'.

The joke is that it's only when someone is gone that these people suddenly turn angels and start to appreciate his good points. They probably do that to lessen their guilt. BUT, isn't that too late?

One should always take time off to reflect on one's doing and seek to change for the better! Just my two cents worth of comment.

I obviously know who you're talking about, Nat... but I certainly never had any bad things to say abt him, even if he had undergone numerous face surgeries and contracted vitiligo, or even been accused of molesting little boys. His passing affected me greatly. We will all miss him dearly... :-(

yeah.. why can't ppl appreciate them more when they're still alive?

MJ is dead and his records are selling like hotcakes now everywhere in the world.. isn't that a little too late?

i miss MJ.. he is and was my king..

just hope that everyone will treasure everything around them before it's too late..

and nat, take care of urself. cos of those swine flu thing going around. =)

    love,
    Jeanne

hmm. good point but i do not think that people backpedals because they want to lessen their guilt but instead they want to keep the good things of the dead alive.

    and yes
Appreciate the people who should be appreciated when they are alive.
    ciao.

i m sorry if this comes across as too straightforward, but i dun understand y u r always so cynical. i think it is good to be contemplative, but to be cynical in such an angry way, just seems kinda angsty to me.

Just put it this way. MJ's elevated again. Now he's the God of Pop. What's there to mourn bout?

yar. Normally after losing sth/somebody then will we see the need to cherish.

maybe that's why i always remind myself to spend more quality time with my grandmom.

to everyone: cherish the time spent with ur family and friends. As many things/events are unpredictable.

Hey you know what? People all around the world practically forgot about his existence in their everyday lives (except for die hard fans). And when he died, people acted as if they cared and were thinking about him all day long. Isn't it a bit too late for that? Ridiculous to me too. It's just the same as a man who mourns greatly because of his mother's death, when he actually abandoned her when she was alive.
