Sitting at the beach house overlooking the sea as the sun set on the opposite end of the island; for a moment, it seemed like they were in a faraway place, save for the stark reminder of the flag hung out in the middle of nowhere. A candle lighted up the darkness, and the fish swam around the waterfalls.
Mother prayed blessings, Father was across the sea, and the Brother was sound asleep. But they all loved in their own little ways. Some things are meant to be understood, not spoken in the explicit. A wan smile, but a smile nonetheless.
Thank you to my closest and dearest people who have made my life happier in both big and small ways. You all know who you are.
