Cupboard Carpentry
Occasionally I like to do stuff on a whim, especially stuff out of the ordinary because life can get very humdrum at times.
So anyway I went back to company yesterday to pick up some stuff. Not content with going all the way there and back, I thought I'd go do my miscellaneous admin plus pop by the gym so as to maximize the effort of stepping out of the house (haha).
And then after that Diya小姐 asked if I wanted to go out for dinner cos' she wanted to go to IKEA to get a new wardrobe hanger. "Is that a date?" I asked.
"Yes. But I'm bringing a gooseberry."
"Oh, who?"
"Zijie."
"Ah okay."
So the three of us headed down to IKEA.
I think we must have been very hungry because Zijie had 8 pieces of chicken wings for dinner, Diya had IKEA Meatball Spaghetti (and finished it) + Almond cake, and I had a Poached Salmon Set + 15pc Meatball Set + Princess Cake. Why they called it Princess Cake I absolutely have no idea - it wasn't very nice - but my favourite Daim cake was out of stock and Diya ordered the Almond cake so I thought I'd try something different. Daim it.
We were supposed to get a simple wardrobe stand but I argued that it's gonna become seh-nget again anyway, so we ended up getting this see-through cupboard, which was slightly more functional and sturdier to boot. The outing could have ended there, but seeing how tiny Miss D was, we simply couldn't let her bring it home herself. Delivery would have cost $50 bucks more. Ouch.
And so we thought, "screw it" and decided to accompany her home and fix up the cupboard for her. Because that's what spontaneous people do, hahaha.
I haven't got all the pictures, but head on over to her blog to check it out! :)

July 5th, 2008 at 9:56 pm Envy Diya for having such nice/gentleman friends like you and ZiJie (Is he the guy from Campus Superstar?).
Wish we were just as lucky, to be able to date you out too!
If I am not wrong, both of them were students at a singing school.

July 6th, 2008 at 12:13 pm Really looks like you guys had fun (especially Zijie)! Ikea stuff is pretty straightforward to put together, but I don't think I could do it well enough, to be honest, haha.
Have you really, REALLY quit World of Warcraft? *shifty eyes*
July 6th, 2008 at 12:54 pm Thanks, Nat.
Pity that Zijie din make it thru to the top 2 during the competition. Was a supporter of him then. Tot he has the charisma + cheeky look (*ahem* like me)...haha... he should have completed his sec edn and progressing on.
Likewise, i was rooting for Diya at the finals of the Superstar II competition. A pity that she din sing the song - ZHEN FU, well enough. Nevertheless, glad that she is doing well.
It must have been v gratifying for all 3 of us to see the completed work!
July 6th, 2008 at 12:56 pm Sorry, dreaming ...
