I haven't done a proper photo update for so long because it's time-consuming to upload photos and well... I do get lazy at times too. Haha.

Anyways, here are the behind-the-scenes shots for my Nivea print campaign. Enjoy!

Thank you to the team from Nivea, TBWA, Word of Mouth Communications, hair and makeup Peter Khor and of course Wee Khim and team for the shoot. You guys rock! :)

I saw the Nivea ad on a certain bus after knocking off from work... and couldnt have time to snap a picture of it. But it's ok, so long as I can get to see you upclose again tomorrow ;-)

P.S. watching your debut show would be the best birthday gift for me personally (pluas a few more surprises)... my bday is on Sunday!! :-P

Someone (a student of mine) told me a long time ago, when I was on the brink of letting it all out, and cave in to pressures... and give up teaching... to "HANG IN THERE"...

In life, things do go wrong sometimes... We can't change things that have happened, but we can see how we view them.
It's good that you bounce back fast and don't let negativity get to u... Just don't bottle it all up for too long, though.

Remember talking to u at the photoshoot about your blabbering to the media ... and how..well.. I did hope you had closure then with things at the homefront.. But of course, some things do take time to work themselves out...

Back to the kid who gave me great advice to hang in there... I did... I carried on teaching for a long time yet.. Him? He passed on, after a drug overdose the semester after... "Hang in there". Those became haunting words for me...

I still feel that it's great advice..BUT it stays there. We've got to practise it to make the words real. Tough but true.

I've tried as much as possible (sans your endearing Singlish, which i absolutely dig :) It makes u REAL) to allow your voice to come through ... and hopefully, your fans would understand u a tad better....

Great to hear that "a number of ppl commenting that it was written v favorably,"! :) I like to paint a picture of truth regarding my subjects, as much as possible. Of course, it helps if the subject is nice, sugar and spice , with just that little dash of edginess. :) Not too much of stretch for me to present reality as it is.

Trust me, I've met some manufactured, sugar-coated candies that reveal their true selves, off camera. Most people are conned into believing they are nice, when they're more like lice. Haha!

Regarding the Su and Toh thingy, I'm BOTH. :)I get asked about it, like ALL THE TIME. Just one of those Hainanese quirks, which makes it seem like I've two surnames, or...split personalities...
I wasn't aware I was introduced as a Toh though... haha.
