Crocodile
The "Retail Bait" speaks. Haha. Yes that's what they called me in this week's 8 Days (The Guilty Pleasures Issue), where they had a fashion feature on Crocodile's Fall/Winter collection.
When my parents knew that I'd be the Crocodile Guy this season, Dad asked in jest, "Does that mean I can get free underwear?" -___-"
Yes, my Dad is a fan of their basic white cotton underwear. And yes, Crocodile has been around for THAT long. Well, actually even longer.
A company which had humble beginnings in Singapore in 1947, Crocodile has now evolved into a lifestyle brand providing total wardrobe solutions, with product presence across all major cities in Asia.
You know what, I am so glad that Crocodile has moved on with the times (and of course they sell MUCH more than just underwear). What was once a brand associated with middle-aged gentlemen, has now expanded its range, catering to a wide audience encompassing 25 to 45 year olds, and possibly even a younger crowd.
The Crocodile people had me down at their showroom today to pick up some stuff and I have to say that there were quite a number of pieces which I liked, ranging from dressy to casual.
Their Fall/Winter collection features strong emphasis on fabrics and color contrast, with deliberate slim-fit cutting - which is much more flattering for Asian builds compared to many other off-the-shelf foreign brands.
Another thing for sure, the quality of their fabric is really of a higher quality than many mass-market brands. The difference is really quite apparent. And of course that translates into comfort, which is important in our oh-so-hot weather, and durability - because you wouldn't want clothes that disintegrate after a few washes now, do you? ;)

Ok... i got to admit my father is a fervent fan of crocodile undies, with that little pocket in the front to let yr wee wee out to piss.
I am wearing CK (opps... some immitation CK briefs from Bangkok also) haha ... So Nat also wearing croco ? need a feedback also le ... it's Men's talk ... =P

Saw your pics liao...in 8 Days ...cool....glad that they picked you as their spokesperson...I gotten one of the Croco t-shirt some months back (cos it was a promo item in 8 days magazine)...anyway. quite good quality, i tot....
However, to successfully change their image/brand will take a while....thus, the lesson of 'starting right' ....anyway, i am sure they will make some progress with you as their spokesman...
so, presumably you will be wearing their shirts/jkts when you attend the Dec star award show ....hmm....hope you can clinch the best new comer...again, take it ez...cos, higher expectations may result in greater disappointment...
life is like that... when we take things in stride, maybe, it will turn out better than if we pursue too fervently ... for you, i salute you for perseverance and definitely, your lucky stars are shinning bright (happy for you!!)...(i noticed you liao from the SI days..., and tot what a waste, you miss making in to next round...but look at now, you are doing just as well, if not better than some others....)...there is also this "hongkong girl" who competed in the Superstar Season 1 and din make it...now, she (yong er) is one of the top newcomers in hong kong.
anyway, that's the older brother/uncle in me speaking...
