Number
DAMN IT! I hate it when people just get my number from friends or friend of a friend and SMS me out of the blue asking, "Hi, can I get to know you?".
First and foremost, I think it's quite an invasion of privacy because HP numbers are personal - for friends only. NOT for people who wanna be friends. There's friendster and MSN and email for that. I mean, how would you like it if someone called your house-phone and said, "Hi, can I get to know you?". Get the point?
Secondly, IF you happen to do that and get a ticking off from me and/or I don't reply, DON'T you freakin' go around saying that I'm a bitch or that I'm dao or stuck-up or arrogant. Because as far as my stand is concerned - the other party is the offensive one and my personal space has been invaded.
Thirdly, although I'll be pissed with whoever wants to "get to know me" through the phone. I'll be EVEN MORE PISSED with the "friends" who gave my number out in the first place. I mean, what the hell lah! I respect my friends and I expect them to respect me in return. To me, respect is one of the most basic elements in any relationship/friendship.
Those of you who know me will know that in the event someone needs to get hold of another party's number, I will ALWAYS check with the other person whether it's alright to give out the number. And that's ONLY for work-related purposes.
If you're my friend and you've got my number, please, do have the courtesy to check with me if someone wants my number. The only exception I will make is if someone needs my number urgently for work-related purposes. Even so, at least let me know (just drop an sms or something) who I should be expecting if you have given out my number for some work-related purpose.

October 27th, 2005 at 4:26 pm OMG i SO HATE THOSE PEOPLE!! and the worse thing aout it is when they say "i promised the person that i wouldn't tell you who told me your number" or they're like they don't tell you how they got the number.. i get SO PISSED OFF!!
i've actually scolded friends for giving my number to unwanted people. now cannot do that too much anymore though.. too many school mates that need my number haha..
it's even worse when you've had your number for ages and you don't want to change out of it..
