Unappreciated

Being cooped up at home the whole day for the last few days was unbearable. And so today I decided to get out of the house for a breather.
On the way back, I decided it'll be kinda sweet to buy back some goodies for the family since it'd been sometime since I did. And so, I bought a box of Beard Papa's Cream Puffs.
Now it's not cheap, at 2 frickin' bucks per puff.
So anyway, at the dinner table, I said, "Oh ya, I bought Beard Papa Cream Puffs for you all."
First thing my Old Man says is, "Doesn't look nice."
Like what the hell lah! You haven't even fucking tasted the cream puff!
Call me sensitive or whatever. But you know, just imagine, how would you feel if you did something which you thought was quite nice and just got blown off, no, wait, INSULTED by some judgement that had no basis whatsoever?
Fine lah, if you've tasted the puff and don't think it's nice, so be it. You haven't fucking tasted it lor!
I was so turned off that I just said, "Complain complain so much for what! People buy for you just eat lah!"
And then oblivious to my impending storm clouds, he carried on, "Just looking from a packaging point of view what. It doesn't look attractive."
URGH.
My dad has the uncanny ability to make me feel totally and utterly underappreciated.
I hate it.
It makes me feel like an angry teenager all over again.
