Musings

This morning as I was on my way to work, there was a really bizarre incident that happened.
I was sitting on the train and then at a particular stop, this Indian fellow walked into the train and sat down next to me. But as he sat down, he conveniently rested his hand on my knee as he sat down - much like one would do when sliding into an arm-chair. It was such an "apa je" or "what-the-hell" moment! I didn't know whether to laugh or to get angry coz' it was really so weird. And the best part about it was that he did it so nonchalantly, I think he was really unaware and unconscious about his invasion of private space.
A lady across the carriage saw the whole thing and our eyes met. It's amazing that so much could go on in those few seconds of a gaze, with nary a word spoken. She then broke the glance and tried to suppress a chuckle, as did I.

Came home and checked my mail only to be greeted by some not very nice tags left on the tagboard. At first I was thinking of writing a really nasty retaliatory comment. But at the end of the day, I'm just thinking, "Really, what's the point?". I decided to reply his comment in a civil manner, because I believe that how one handles criticisms is a reflection of his upbringing and character.
I guess perhaps this is how Janice felt when her blog got intruded upon by nasty people. But really, I have learnt time and time again that there will always be people who hate you for some reason or other. At least this one bothered to write a comment. And I guess if hating or dissing me rocks his boat, so be it.
Vengeance is not mine, but God's.
That's about it for tonight. Got lots of photo-editing to do for my friends which is due tomorrow. Goodnight peeps!

nasty people exist and feed on negativity and the world can do without that, can't we? also shows how incapable they are when it comes to dealing with the successful lives of others.
