Lipton Tea Pt 2 Continued… + My day today

Lipton Tea Pt 2 continued...
Another long day today. Reported at 7.30 to do hair and makeup before having another grueling day of retakes and long waits in-between. Having gone through this, it really makes me appreciate how much effort actually goes into making a short 1-min ad - ads which we are so saturated with that we take for granted.
I've also never drunk Lipton Tea with such gusto before. Did many takes of a shoot where we had to take big gulps (not sips) of Lipton Tea and then wear the most orgasmic expression of enjoyment derived from drinking the golden liquid. That take alone took more than one hour, coz' there were many factors. It wasn't just the acting. The infusion of the teabags had to be timed properly, and each time the director yelled, "CUT!", the tea had to be replaced and/or topped-up. Fake ice-cubes were used too, so that it wouldn't melt. And because of that, fake condensation had to be sprayed on too. So much effort needed, but the viewer will never know from that short scene of the final commercial.
Production over-ran by about 2.5 hours. Which is bad because it's really tiring. I've never been more happy to hear 3 magic words. Nope, it's not "I love you."
"IT'S A WRAP!"
Yeah. Lots of clapping and cheering from everyone - it was as if we had accomplished something great, like climbing Mt. Everest or something. Haha, okay, maybe not as great as that, but still great nonetheless :)

My day today.
Had a photoshoot for my own portfolio today with the help of one of my stylist friends - you know who you are. Thank you so much, really appreciate your help. Today's team was a great bunch of people and I had fun! It wasn't like my preconceived notion of photoshoots for print-ads where everyone's rushing for a deadline, with patience stretched till almost breaking-point, and scary big-shot photographers who will scold or send back models if they can't perform. Other than my stylist friend, the other two people I worked with today were photographer Lance Lee and make-up artist Kelly.
Lance is an absolute joy to work with! He's an all-round nice fellow, easy-going and accomodating. It wasn't stressful working with him at all. Learnt quite a bit from him too, regarding Adobe Photoshop CS as well as some other stuff from the conversations we had. He was also nice enough to lend me the Simon Cowell book which I had been eyeing recently, "I Don't Mean To Be Rude, But...". Kelly is a sweet lady who looks like Sally Yeh and she did a really great make-up job for me! She's someone who is passionate about her job and takes pride in her work and it definitely shows. After all, she's been in the business for 9 years already!
As you can see, I've highlighted the names of the people who helped me today. Do click on their pages to see some samples of their work and if you do need photographers and/or make-up artists, please do not hesitate to contact these people. Strongly recommended, especially after having worked with them :)
Had a great day today, but am now totally bushed. Off to sleep soon!
